Theragāthā — Versos dos Monges Anciãos — 2.39 — Usabha (2nd)
Ler no Une Sacra1Arranging a robe over my shoulder,
the color of young mango sprouts,

sitting on an elephant’s neck!
2But when I dismounted from the elephant,
I was struck with a sense of urgency.
I burned with shame, but then I found peace,
and attained the ending of defilements.
